John H. Breedlove, 50, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday morning, February 23, 2011, in his home following an extended battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born October 11, 1960, in Grafton, WV to the late John M. "Jake" and Phyllis Rogers Breedlove. Surviving family include: his sister Pam Breedlove Lear and husband Noah Lear, of New Market, VA; his brother Scott Breedlove and wife Tammy Wickham Breedlove, of Grafton, WV; nieces and nephews: Justin Breedlove and wife Cara Jasper Breedlove, Grafton, WV; Ashley Breedlove Morris and husband Justin Morris, Grafton, WV; Tommy and Jesse Lear, of New Market, VA; God-sent parents Ed and Ethel Flugge, of Chillicothe; and his pet cat "Neke," in her new home with Jim Baker in Cleveland, OH. Mr. Breedlove was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Noah Jacob ("Little Jake") Lear. Mr. Breedlove was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1979, and had attended West Virginia University. He worked as an insurance adjuster with Cincinnati Insurance Co. Local funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 25, in the Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Mulberry Sts., with Pastor Kurt King officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Following transportation to West Virginia, a funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, February 27, at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw St., Grafton, WV, with Pastor Sam Simoes officating. Burial will follow in Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery, Grafton. Friends may call Saturday February 26, from 4-8pm and Sunday 1 hour prior to the funeral at the Bartlett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-ROSS, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.
