John Baxter

John Scott Baxter Sr., 78, of Chillicothe, died 8:35 am, Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
He was born May 30, 1941 in Ross Co. to the late Gilbert and Nellie Hallett Baxter. Survivors include three children, John (Tamra) Baxter, Jr., of Chillicothe, Marsha Strickland, of Wellston, and Brian (Gina) Baxter, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hudsoin, Jonathan Baxter, and Steven Baxter; four great-grandchildren, Layne, Leah, Declan and Jensen; and two brothers, William (Rita) and Daniel (Diane) Baxter, all of Ray. He was preceded in death by two children, Richard Baxter and Linda Hudson; and a brother, Carl Baxter.
Mr. Baxter was a retired truck driver.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
