Johanna Thomas

Johanna I. Thomas Johanna I. Thomas, 77, of Chillicothe, died 11:14 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born September 4, 1928 in Munich Germany to Johann and Frieda Roth Schmid. On June 19, 1961 she married Loren M. Thomas, who survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Patrizia Thomas, Virginia (Rick) Turner, Janette (Jeffery) Lynch, Lorencene Thomas, and Sandy Turner; a son, Maurice (Roxanna) Thomas; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Margot Schmid and Melitta (Karl) Snook; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Gerda Veris and Hilda Jamison. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lieselotte (Rudolf) Bohlinger and Irene (Albert) Haberle. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Monday, Rev. Joel Hess officiating, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1-3 pm Monday at the church.
