Joanne Marie Abram went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2015. She was born November 9, 1927 to the late William Walker Birkhead and Ida Marie Birkhead of Columbus, Ohio.
Joanne is survived by 4 children, Tom Abram (wife Sandy Abram) of Frankfort, Denise Patterson (husband Bob Patterson) of Bainbridge, Valerie Abram and (Tammy Tarr) of Muncie, Indiana, Cindy Darsey (husband Mike Darsey) of Jacksonville, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Her passion in life was her husband, Charles, and children. Their favorite relaxation was camping from their first camper as a pop-up and over the years a beautiful RV motor coach. Spring was our mother's favorite season. She enjoyed seeing the rebirth and new growth of the trees, shrubs and flowers. Joanne was a member of Walnut St. Methodist Church in Chillicothe. She joined the Red Hats and really enjoyed their trips and functions. She also attended the Ohio Wesleyan church. In closing we would like to say that we know she is now in her eternal home. We feel comfort in knowing the day will come when we will all be together again.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. David Maughmer officiating. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of the service Saturday at Haller's. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the American Cancer Society or Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice, 2077 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
