Joann Highland

Joann Elizabeth Highland, 82, of Kettering, OH, formerly of Chillicothe, OH, died 12:30 am, Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Kettering Medical Center, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.   She was born May 6, 1935 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Floyd E. and Nelle F. Wilkins Rinkliff. On June 25, 1966 she married John Patrick Highland, who died August 26, 2015. Survivors include her two children, Mary Kate Highland and J. Patrick Highland II, both of Kettering; and a brother, Donald (Marian) Rinkliff, of Chillicothe.   Mrs. Highland was a nurse and worked for the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe. She enjoyed sewing and cross stitching.   Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Grandview Cemetery, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
