Joann Allen

JoAnn Allen, 85, of Chillicothe, departed this life on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 following a brief illness. She was born November 12, 1928, in Vinton Co., OH, to the late Joseph and Ruth (Morris) Morgan. JoAnn is survived by her granddaughter, Amy (Shane) Cottrill, and her grandson, Tony Allen, both of Kingston; a great-grandson, who she loved spending time with, Dane Cottrill, of Kingston; a long time companion, Doug Ogden, of Chillicothe; a sister, Anna Marie Kuhn (Earl), of Chillicothe; a brother, Bob Morgan (Mary Ann) of Chillicothe, and numerous special nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Frank, and her son Walter "Frank" Allen. JoAnn retired from Kenworth in October 1991 after 15 years of employment. In her free time, she enjoyed working outside with her flowers, and loved playing golf. She also enjoyed traveling all over the world. JoAnn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In honor of her wishes, there will be no calling hours or public services. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
