Joan E. Wolfe, 83, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord, 9:44 am, Friday, October 24, 2014, at her home, following an extended illness, surrounded by family and friends. She was born March 16, 1931 in Jackson, OH to the late Herman and Clara Mae Gunlock Brown. On September 15, 1952 she married Edward K. Wolfe, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Dianna J. (Philip) Gray and Marcella Wolfe, of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Daniel A. (Alisha) Gray and Kaitlyn Wolfe; two great-grandchildren, Ethan D. and Brandon P. Gray; and a sister, Barbara Bair, of Centerville, OH. Mrs. Wolfe retired after 30 years of teaching. She taught sixth grade and remedial reading in the Scioto-Valley School District. She was a fully dedicated farm wife and enjoyed all aspects of farming, especially horses and cattle. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME, Pastor Matt Stollings officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 1:00 – 2:30 pm Sunday at Haller's.
