Joan Mccambridge

Joan Patricia McCambridge passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday July 26th at her home in Chillicothe after a prolonged illness. She was cared for and surrounded by loving family.   She was born September 17, 1930, in Youngstown, daughter and first child of James K. and Patricia C. Henry Graham. Joan graduated from Ursuline High School, Youngstown, Ohio, Class of 1948. She married her husband James in 1954 and came to Chillicothe in 1977 where they owned and operated McCambridge's Foodtown until his death in 1994. She is also preceded in death by both of her parents, her beloved daughter Mary Patricia in 2020, and her brother James Kenneth Graham in 2022.   She is survived and missed by her loving brother Harold (Patti), children James (Tammy), John, Joseph, Jeffrey (Sandy) and Michael (Rick), her grandchildren James, Loren (Matt), Alex (Hannah), Jenny (John), Carrie (Brian), John (Jenna), Colleen (AJ), Kenny (Anna), Scott (Courtney), Jennifer, Joannie (Jevan), Carolyn, Patty, Patricia, Jeffrey, Rachel, and great-grandchildren Griffin, Knox, Madisyn, Evan, Georgia, Mack, Maddie Jane, Ophelia, Payton, Oliver, Graham, Gracie, George, Gwen, Andrew, Colton, Jordyn, and Ray, who all knew her as their loving "Nannie". Mary Ann, her devoted neighbor and friend was ever vigilant as needs arose and is considered part of the family.   Joan was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Her service and worship within the church resulted in many dear friendships. These friends supported and guided her journey through her illness. She cherished her church family.   A Mass will be held on Friday August 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 61 S. Paint Street, Chillicothe, Ohio, celebrated by Father Jacob Stinnett, followed by a luncheon in the Church center.   The family has asked for any material tributes in Joan's name be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 61 S. Paint Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Thanks and our unmeasurable gratitude to Dr. Seidensticker, all the nurses, aides, and administrative staff at Adena Home Health of Chillicothe, and Father Jacob Stinnett of St. Mary's for the loving care and compassion given to our mother and family as we made our best effort to keep her comfortable in her home. Words cannot express how lucky we were to have her and how deeply she is loved and missed.
