Jo Imler

Jo Ellen Imler, 92, of LaJolla, CA, formerly of Chillicothe, died September 23, 2016 in LaJolla, CA. She was born January 11, 1924 in Pickerington, OH to the late Carl and Dorothy Shimp Poling. On June 4, 1962 she married Clifford W. Imler, who died December 27, 2005. Survivors include a son, Greg (Melinda) Imler, LaJolla, CA; five grandchildren, Amanda (Justin) Cole, Kathryn Imler, Marc (Megan) Imler, Tammera (Mike) Magill, and Mellanie (Brian) Eddy; a nephew, Terry Poling; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Poling. Mrs. Imler retired following 30 plus years teaching with the Chillicothe City Schools. She attended Brookside Church. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, and was an artist. She was a member of several school affiliations and a volunteer with the Adena Health System. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at Haller's on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201.
