Jerry Watters
June 25, 1943 — March 23, 2025
Jerry G. Watters, born June 25, 1943 in Chillicothe, passed away due to complications from protracted respiratory illnesses. He was the son of Virgil E. and Mary Mildred (Ritchea) Watters, who preceded him in death. He married Patricia Diane Elliott on 12/10/1962, who survives.
They had three children: Coyt (Linda) Watters, Carol Kalb, and Cheri (Scott) Hamilton; six grandchildren: Maia, Erica, Elliott, Josh, William, and Hope. He had several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three siblings: Marilyn Dennis, Frank (Bonnie) Watters, and his twin brother Lawrence (Diane) Watters; his parents-in-law James Willard and Clarabelle (Spindler) Elliott; and son-in-law Myke Kalb.
His career included 41 years with Chilpaco, and several "retirement" jobs. He was proudly a poll worker in many elections, and a US Census employee.
He was a founding member of the Franklin Twp. Fire and Rescue department (1800), serving as chief for several years. He was formerly a member of the Ohio and National Parent-Teacher's Association. He was a former member of the Eagles. He was also a board member of the Chilpaco Employees Credit Union.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, March 26, at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his memory to Hospice of Ross County Ohio, St. Jude Children's Hospital, the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association, or a service charity of your choice.
