Jerry Walsh

Jerry James Walsh, 74, of Londonderry, was called Home by his Heavenly Father on Sunday afternoon, February 26, 2017, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born in Vinton Co., Ohio on December 10, 1942, to the late Jerry Edison and Emma "Brownie" Marie (Burley) Walsh. On May 5, 1963, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann (Shoemaker) Walsh, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Lori (Eric) Starkey, of Chillicothe, Jerry (Keiko) Walsh, of Mangilao, Guam, David (Angela) Walsh, of Londonderry, and Julie (Bill) Holt, of Hallsville; a special son, Richard (Renee) Montuado, of GA; grandchildren, Brooke and Sean Finley, both of Chillicothe, Anthony Walsh, of Newark, Karen Walsh, of Guam, Samuel Walsh and Ethan Gray, both of Londonderry,  Haley Holt, of Hallsville, and Philip Holt, of GA; a sister, Sue Ison, of Ray; special friends, Jerry Crandell, of Waverly, and Maxine Howard, of Chillicothe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many great friends. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Walsh. Jerry worked for Wear Ever Aluminum for 10 years, and then for Kenworth Trucking Company for 32 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, playing bingo with friends, old cars, going to the casino, and traveling to Reno. But most of all, he loved spending time with his wife and family. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Haller Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5:00pm on Friday until the time of the service.
