Jerry Cyrus

Jerry Lee Cyrus, 58, of Chillicothe, died at 12:15am Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born August 30, 1960, to the late Joseph and Cleota Cyrus. He married Natalie Detty on December 18, 1978, who survives.   Also surviving are his daughters: Iris (Thomas) Hopkins, Tonya (Jim) Varney, and Kathy Cyrus; grandsons: Jarrod Cyrus and Hunter Hopkins; granddaughter Cailyn Cyrus; step-grandchildren: Jessica (Chris) Carter and family, Josh Varney and family, Joey Varney; great-granddaughter Maylee Nicole; brother Joseph (Rebecca) Cyrus; sister Debra (Keith) Detty; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ernest Cyrus.   Jerry enjoyed many things in life, but what he enjoyed most was the time he spent with family and friends.   A funeral service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, December 11, at the Andersonville United Methodist Church, 1249 Andersonville Rd., Chillicothe, Rev. James Steele officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Tuesday also at the church. Following services, cremation will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
