Jennifer Marie (Brooks) Ross, 41, of Chillicothe, Ohio went to be with the Lord on 2/2/2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born on 7/6/1980 in Chillicothe to Terry and Kathy (Jarvis) Brooks. She went to school at Zane Trace Elementary, Smith Junior High and ultimately graduated in 1998 from Southeastern High School. She was married on 2/6/1999. Jennifer was a stay at home mother, who loved her children with all of her heart. She was a member of Tyler United Methodist Church and former member of the Chillicothe Civic Theatre.
Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Kaitlynn (Tyler) Mumford of New Underwood, South Dakota and her son Ethan Ross at home; Her parents, Terry and Kathy Brooks of Roanoke, Virginia; Grandparents, Charlie and Rosie Brooks of Chillicothe and grandmother, Mary Ann Jarvis of Roanoke, Virginia; Brother Matt (Crystal) Brooks of Smithfield, Virginia; Aunt Kathy (Don) Arbaugh of Casa Verde, Arizona, Uncle Steve (Corki) Jarvis of Bolivia, North Carolina, Uncle Scott (Marisa) Jarvis of Van Wert, Ohio; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; In-laws Diane and Dean Vaught; Special friends Katie (Deem) Blankenship and Millie Baker. Many pets over the years including dogs, cats and lizards. Jennifer was pre-deceased by beloved great-grandparents Paul Winters, William and Mary Jarvis, Jim and Hazel Brooks, grandfather William (Bill) Jarvis and father in-law Gerald Ross.
Jennifer loved to go horseback riding, spend time with her family and playing board games. She was especially fond of Florida beaches and envisioned living there one day. She was a talented actress and loved set design. Jennifer was an organ donor and the family hopes you will consider being one too.
A very private service including close family members and friends will take place at the Chillicothe Civic Theatre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chillicothe Civic Theatre and the Ross County Humane Society. Special mention and thank you to the compassionate team of ICU members at Adena Regional Medical Center and during the final moments of her cherished life spoke the following words in prayer: "Could we take a moment just to pause and honor this person in the bed. This was someone who was alive and now has passed away. They were someone who loved and was loved. They were someone's friend and family member. In our own way and in silence let us stand and take a moment to honor both this person in the bed and all the valiant efforts that were made on their behalf."
