Jennifer V. Carmean, 59, of Kingston, died at 1:46pm July 12, 2012, in Adena Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born April 17, 1953, in Chillicothe, to Fredrick J. and Gloria (Hammond) Naas. In May of 1980, she married William B. "Butch" Carmean, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2003. Surviving are her daughters Lindsey Carmean; and Kimberly Jo Carmean and her fiancée Seth McClarren; her mother Gloria Naas; step-son Danny (Mitzi) Carmean, all of Kingston; step-daughter Niki (Robert) Vinburg, Columbus; grandson Hayden Brannigan; step-grandchildren Brendan Carmean and Mitchell Vinburg; brothers Dale Naas, of Kingston; and Eric Braedan, of Beavercreek; several nieces and nephews; many special friends including Lynn Miner and Kay McCreight; and her dog "Skeeter." She was predeceased by her father, Fred Naas. Jennifer was a graduate of Zane Trace High School, Class of 1971. She was a dedicated crisis intervention specialist for the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center for over 14 years. She loved to write, enjoyed photography and had taught herself to speak Spanish. Jennifer was a member of the Green Twp. Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. Following the committal, friends are invited to the Green Twp. Annex building on Kingston-Adelphi Rd. for a meal and fellowship. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home or from 12-1 Tuesday prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center, "211" Referral Program, PO Box 6179, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
