Jenevee Jones

Jenevee Jones, 94, ended her long journey to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 5:36 p.m. surrounded by her family. She was born in Blackfork, Ohio on May 10, 1917 to the late Charles H. and Zella (Calloway) Keels. She married her former husband, the late Reuben Jones, on August 3, 1939, and they had five children: Marvin (Yvonne) Jones, Hutchins, TX; Inez Simmons, Cincinnati; Eunice (John) Lowe, Frankfort; Lewis, Sr. (Carol) Jones, Grove City; and Raymond (Diane) Jones, Reynoldsburg. Jenevee Jones is also survived by grandchildren, Myra (Wesley) Watson, Carvel "Pat" Simmons, Michael (Carla) Foster, Timothy (Gloria) Foster, Jeffrey (Lisa) Foster, Catherine (Michael) Madison, Lewis Jones, Jr., Nathan Jones, Trevor Jones, Molly (Arthur) Murphy and Melissa (Edward) Butts , five step-grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and long-time close friend, Kathleen Ragland. She was a lifetime homemaker, loved gardening, raising chickens, and caring for young livestock of the farming business in Ross and Pickaway counties. Jenevee was predeceased by brothers and their wives, David and Helen Keels, William and Neil Keels and John Keels and sisters and their husbands, Amanda and Frank Harper, Mary and Ermanus Ragland, Anna and Vernon Mason and an infant sister. She was a member of the First Baptist Church 65 W. 4th St., Chillicothe where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, with Pastor Michael Alston officiating. Relatives and friends can meet with the family from 4-7 pm on Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, 1661Western Avenue in Chillicothe and one our prior to the service, at the church. Burial will follow at the Forest Cemetery in Circleville. The family wants to thank Dr. Ellis Frazier for his professional services and care and to acknowledge the management and staff of the Westmoreland Place for many years of love, laughter and devotion.
