Jeffrey Tyler

Jeffrey Alan Tyler, 57, of Chillicothe, passed from this life into heaven at 7:22pm, April 3, 2014, at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, while surrounded by family and friends.   He was born February 21, 1957, in Chillicothe to Herman L. and Barbara (Davis) Tyler.   On June 18, 1988, he married Angela Jane Christian, who survives.   In addition to his wife Angie, he is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Chad (Stacey) Tyler; Dustin Tyler and his companion Alli Potter; daughters and son-in-law Suzette Wells; Michelle (John) Bennett, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Shanice, Eddy, Jr. and Joshua Wells; and Jayla and Jake Bennett; his mother and step-father Barbara (Gerald) Wickline, Chillicothe; his father Herman L. Tyler, Wimauma, FL; his sister Beverly S. Tyler, Chillicothe; Angie's father and step-mother Mel and Paula Christian; his nephew Shawn (Nicole) Long; great-nephew Davis R. Long; many friends including his special buddies Kenneth "Bo" Hitchens and John Wright; and his canine companion "Roxy."   He was predeceased by his step-mother Gerty Tyler; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary Jane and Don Elliott.   Jeff was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1975, and retired from Glatfelter in 2008.   Jeff was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle.   His family was the center of his life.   He touched many lives and will be missed greatly.   Jeff was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's events.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 8, at Haller Funeral Home.   Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.   Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with extensive medical bills via any Homeland Credit Union Branch; or mailed to Homeland Credit Union, 310 Caldwell St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
