Jeffrey David Hallowell, Sr., 57, of Chillicothe, passed away early Friday morning, August 23, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family, following an extended battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born February 10, 1962 in Jamestown, New York to the late Charles and Dorothy (Gregory) Hallowell. He went on to spend 35 years with the love of his life, Carolyn Sue (Archey) Hallowell, until her passing on December 28, 2017.
Surviving are five children, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Dawson, Jeffrey Hallowell, Jr., Nicole Hallowell, Heather (Richard) Hallowell, and Carli (Cody) Hallowell, all of Chillicothe; thirteen grandchildren, Paris, Nevaeh, Mariah, Jeremiah, Jr., Allison, Parker, Kennedy, Savannah, Hailey, James, Braiden, Kaylynne, Evalynne, Emberlynne, Karalynne, Camden, and Caysen; two brothers, Chuck Hallowell, and Doug Bush; a sister, Patricia Walczak; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Lee Runge, Jr., and a sister, Debbie Hallowell.
Jeffrey worked as a Crane Operator in Columbus, Ohio for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing and riding his bike.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or funeral service. The family is planning a Celebration of Life service and will announce the date and time at a later date.
