Jeanette Angela (McDonald) Anders, 84, of Chillicothe, died 12:48pm, on January 28, 2022. She was born October 4, 1937, Kansas City, KS, to the late John J. and Gertrude (Dreiling) McDonald and moved to Chillicothe with her parents in 1945. On February 6, 1956, she married the love of her life, Clarence E. "Andy" Anders, in St. Mary Catholic Church by Fr. Rafeal Rodgers. They were blessed with eight children. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents; her husband Andy; her sister Bernadine G. (McDonald) Owens; her brother John J. McDonald III; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Yvonne E. (Thompson) McDonald, Evelyn (Anders) and James Jones, and Joan (Anders) Diehl. Surviving are her children: David A. (Lucy) Anders, Daniel E. (Debbie) Anders, all of Chillicothe; Beverly A. (James) Thompson, Niles, MI, Carma J. (Michael) Lump, Chillicothe, Mark S. (Maura) Anders, West Palm Beach, FL, Richard A. "Andy" (Shaune) Anders, Frankfort, OH, Karen E. Anders Oppy, and Aaron P. (Tiffany) Anders; her brother Charles W. (Vickie) McDonald, all of Chillicothe; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved and would light up her face anytime they were around. Jeanette was affectionately known as "Mom" or "Grandma", to several, including children in North Fork Village. She devoted her life to her faith, late husband, her eight children and grandchildren, and helping others raise their children. Mrs. Anders also loved traveling with her husband and, at times, her family, attending reunions, Western destinations, cruises, and family out West. She often stated "food is love" and was especially known for homemade apple pies. She loved and was loved by all including nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to all. Mrs. Anders was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she served on the Lazarus Committee, was a eucharistic minister and loved visiting the elderly and shut-ins. She loved country dancing with her late husband and they were members of the Country Plus and C.J. Wranglers dance clubs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am Wednesday, February 2, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Jacob Stinnett, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Mary, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
