Jean Blair

Jean J. Blair, 87, of Chillicothe, died 6:15 am, Friday, October 12, 2012, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born April 2, 1925 in Chillicothe to the late Frederick H. and Bernice C. Hummel Miller. On May 20, 1947 she married Robert W. Blair, who survives. Also surviving are her children, David M. (Judy) Blair, Shingle Springs, CA, Peggy J. (Bill) Orchard, Arvada, CO, Janet M. (James) Robbins, Chillicothe, Donald A. (Linnie) Blair, Visalia, CA, Joseph M. (Lupe) Blair, Oceanside, CA, and Charles F. (Tina) Blair, Powell, OH; 13 grandchildren, Paul and Elise Blair, Morgan Orchard, Elizabeth (Andrew) Orchard Newcomb, Derek (Lindey) Robbins, Dustin (Gina) Robbins, Rebecca, Vanessa, Kyle, Monica, David and Ciera Blair, Jessica (Alex) Blair Yacques; 2 great grandchildren, Maxwell and Lucy Robbins; and a sister, Marilyn Barr. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Miller. Mrs. Blair retired from the Chillicothe/Ross County Public Library after 22 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, an avid bird watcher and basket maker. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home.
