Janice Lynn Koralewski Monroe, 70, of Chillicothe, died May 13, 2015, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born December 31, 1944 to the late Andrew and Marjore Koralewski. Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, William J. Monroe Jr.; a sister, Christine (Darrell) Hornyak; step-children, April (Dean) Ramsey, Windy Monroe, and William J. (Tasha) Monroe III; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Della and William Monroe; a twin sister, Julia; and a brother John. Janice was a US Army Vietnam War veteran. She retired from the Ross Correctional Institution after 15 years of service and served as an EMT-Advanced for 29 years with Huntington, Scioto and Springfield Townships, MedCare Ambulance and Life Air Ambulance. She was a dispatcher with the Ross Co. Sheriff's office. The family would like to thank the Adena Regional Medical Center, especially the nurses on 3A and in the ICU, for their care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. James Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm Sunday at Haller's.
