Janet Lou Sheets, 83, passed away June 11, 2021, at Ohio State University Medical Center after a brave battle with an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1938, in Chillicothe, OH, to the late Orlory and Modie Chester. On September 4, 1954, she married Lloyd. A Sheets and together they raised their loved son, Ronnie Lee who survive. Also surviving are her brother Larry (Linda) Chester of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Marjorie Chester of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews including; Danny and Susan Chester; Kevin and Lori Chester; Kami Wheeler and companion Violet Graves; and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother Warner Chester; brother Lloyd Chester; and sister Zelma Chester. Janet lived a full life as a wonderful mother to Ronnie, wife to Lloyd, homemaker and devoted member of the Bourneville Christian Union Church. She fell in love with her high school sweetheart and married the love of her life on September 4, 1954. Lloyd and Janet spent 66 glorious years together traveling, collecting seashells, spending time with friends, singing in church and dancing in the kitchen together. Janet was best known for her homemade apple pies and ham salad. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, was highly skilled with knitting needles and had the ability to make everyone smile around her. The legacy of her sweet spirit lives on through the many lives she touched. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Jamie Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday at Haller's. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Bourneville Christian Union Church.
