Janet Maxine Hawk, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, November 30, 2018, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 10, 1942 to the late Ralph and Juanita (Walls) Good.
Surviving are her two children, Joe Hawk, and Thea (Tim) Zeisler, both of Chillicothe; her step-children, Bill Sherman Hawk, David (Tonya) Hawk, both of Waverly, Linda (Dean) Wilson, of Chillicothe, and Beth Hawk Straight, of SC; two grandchildren, Christin (Seth Clever) Zeisler, of Chillicothe, and MaKayla (Jesse Lewis) Zeisler, of Jeffersonville; two great-grandchildren, Lidea and Serena; two siblings, Donald (Joyce) Good, and Lois "Jean" Sheridan; her nephews, Donald (Dawn) Sheridan, and Chris (Traci) Good; a special friend, Judy Tyo; as well as numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, step great-great-grandchildren and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Sheridan.
Janet worked at the Citizens National Bank for many years before retiring. She also enjoyed working part time at McDonalds. In her free time, she loved making quilts, gardening, cooking, reading, and making candy. She was also known as an avid cat lover.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
