Janet Grimes

Janet Margaret Grimes passed on November 27, 2023 at the age of 96 in Naples, Florida.



Janet was born July 10, 1927 in Delaware, OH to Milt and Thelma Gole. The family moved to Chillicothe when she was three.  She married Joe Oliver Grimes June 7, 1947.  They had three children.  Surviving are her two sons Butch and David (Cindy), grandchildren Aaron (Robyn), Jason, Christopher (Adell), Josh (Ashley); Max and Lova Green, great grandchildren Grant, Gwen, Hunter, Malachi, Xander, Beck, Remy, Xavian and Kian.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, her beloved daughter Christy Jo, and husband of 47 years, who passed June 4, 1994. She never remarried.



Janet was active in the local community working within various family businesses. She also spent time modeling and working in the Real Estate industry during her earlier years. Having been a lifelong resident in Ross County, she retired to Florida with her husband Joe in 1988 where she spent her time volunteering in Hospice care.



Donations to the local cancer society are welcomed.



Funeral services to be held for family, where she will be interred alongside her husband at Grandview Cemetery.
