Janet Edgington

Janet O. Edgington Janet O. Edgington, 68, of Chillicothe, died Friday, May 09, 2008, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Center, Portsmouth, OH, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 7 pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home, with her son, Darren Edgington officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Huntington Memorial Cemetery Tuesday. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-7 pm Monday at Haller's. She was born October 28, 1939 in Ross Co. to Leroy and Ruth A. Crites Walls. On September 14, 1958 she married Larry P. Edgington, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Darren (Crystal) Edgington, of Chillicothe, and Julea (Jason) Foster, of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Mandy, Caleb, Jillian, Glori, Justine and Jared; two sisters, Marilyn Uhrig, and Joyce Kellenberger, both of Chillicothe; and three brothers, John (Melinda) Walls, of Indiana, Jerry Walls, of Kentucky, and Joe (Tammy)Walls, of Waverly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son, Duane Edgington. She was very active as a Pastor's wife in several Christian Union Churches. Many will remember her for her teaching, singing and speaking abilities. Mrs. Edgington retired from Ingle-Barr Inc. in 2005 and spent her career in different capacities of payroll processing.
