Jana Enderle

Jana L. (Kane) Enderle, 68, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed Wednesday, October 14th, 2026 at home following a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a devastating form of Parkinsonism, which overtook her body, but never her fighting spirit.

Jana was born January 17, 1958, in Chillicothe to Howard W. “Red” Kane and Eunice A. (Pfeifer) Berkemer and was a 1976 graduate of Unioto High School. She was previously employed as a payroll technician with the Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Outpatient Clinic in Columbus, OH.

On June 18th, 1983, she married her greatest love, Joe Enderle, Jr. and gained two stepdaughters, Amy (Chris) Davy of Columbus, OH and Brooke Enderle of Chillicothe who survive. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Diane Daniels and Linda Kane, of Chillicothe; brothers-in-law Dave (Sue) Enderle, Reynoldsburg, OH, and Paul Enderle, of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Dakota Kellough, Bryce Kellough and Evelyn Enderle-Pontious of Chillicothe; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jana was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Bob Berkemer, brother Jeff Kane, brother-in-law Keith Enderle, grandson Dalton Osborne, and cherished fur kids, Peanut, Chevy, and Cain.

A member of the First Capital Dart League for nearly 30 years, Jana traveled across the country to throw in various tournaments and was once ranked nationally among female darters. Jana and Joe loved traveling from Canada to Ft. Myers and could be found in a Corvette, on a Harley, or pulling a fifth wheel to a NASCAR race. She enjoyed gardening and baking, with family & friends looking forward to her gift of Christmas cookies every year. She looked forward to cheering on the Buckeyes and Bengals each fall at the American Legion in Waverly, OH where she was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post #142.

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and companionship provided by Bea Zufelt of Village Caregiving, the amazing staff of Adena Hospice, and Mary Canter.

Calling hours will be held 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Haller Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. and burial following at St. Margaret’s Cemetery with Father Goodchild officiating. Jana would have loved to see friends dressed casually – whether that be in OSU, Bengals, or Harley Davidson gear - whatever makes you comfortable.

A Celebration of Life is also being planned for Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 6:00-8:00PM at the American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, OH.
