Janet R. "Jan" Stansberry, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 2:30am October 13, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness. She died surrounded by her loving family. Jan loved her home, her grandchildren, and she loved the ocean, spending time at their home at Pirateland Resort in Myrtle Beach.
She was born January 9, 1948, in Chillicothe to the late Ovie and Esther Virginia (Caldwell) Blair. On February 5, 1978, she married William M. Stansberry, who survives.
Also surviving are their children: Sonya Sams (Joe Sheets), Stacy (Chris) Coffee, Anthony Stansberry (Stephanie Hankins), Bill (Crissy) Stansberry Jr., and Angelica (James) Gamon; grandchildren: Mika (Chris) Gee, Cooper Coffee, Aerial Stansberry, Keirra Stansberry, Anthony Stansberry, Jr., Aubrey (Johnathon) Makni, Jackson Stansberry, Cloe Stansberry, Jayden Gamon and Jamison Gamon; great-grandchildren: Chris Gee, Jr., Aidan McCoy, Delilah Sams, Rylie Benson, and Owen Henson; her brothers Jerry Fisher and Robert (Sarah) Blair; and sister Lora (Perry) Brady; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson Ethan Sams; and brothers Johnny and Steven Blair.
Jan was a graduate of Centralia High School, Class of 1966. She owned and operated several businesses including William's Restaurant and Jan's Janitorial Service. She attended Mt. Tabor Church. The family would like to give special thanks to the NCR Hospice Staff, as well as Crissy, for their exceptional care and support.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either: Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
