Jamie & Scott Stephenson
September 3, 1963 — February 26, 2025
Jamie Lynn and Scott Douglas Stephenson, beloved parents, grandparents, family members, and friends to many, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Jamie was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on May 4, 1965, the daughter of the late Wayne and Barb (Raypole) Hamblin. She went on to attend Southeastern High School, where she graduated in 1983.
Scott was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 3, 1963, to Ronald Eugene and Barbara Jean (Irvin) Stephenson. He attended Chillicothe High School, graduating in 1981.
Jamie and Scott were united in marriage on December 19, 1981. They raised two beloved sons, Joshua (Sarah) Stephenson, and Zachary (Holly) Stephenson, who gave them six beautiful grandchildren; Kendal, Nevarha, Ruger, Boone, Raeley, and Aidan. Also left behind to cherish their memory are their two sisters, Ronda Stephenson and Heidi (Jimmy) Hamblin; their nieces and nephews, Timothy, Job, Mariah, Bryan, and Bradley; their sweet dog, Peanut; as well as numerous other extended family members and close friends.
Both Jamie and Scott worked and retired from the Pioneer Center in Chillicothe, devoting much of their life to the education and service of others. Jamie enjoyed attending Hilltop Missions Church in Chillicothe, taking walks, going to the YMCA to exercise, and spending time with her many friends. Scott could frequently be found in his garage restoring a classic Ford Mustang, tinkering on a car, or playing music. He was also known for his love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and foraging for morel mushrooms. They loved spending time together, taking trips to town, going out to dinner, and simply enjoying life. They were also known to take camping trips throughout the year, but never strayed too far from home.
A joint funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home with Bob Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends are welcomed to join the family for visitation on Thursday from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.
