James Wellington

March 12, 1984 — March 6, 2008

On March 6, 2008, James "Jamie" Robert Wellington passed into the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom he had recently committed his life to. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Church Triumphant in Kingston, Ohio, with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe. Friends may call at Haller Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008. Jamie was born on March 12, 1984 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Judith and Robert Wellington (now of Chillicothe) who survive. On November 5, 2005, Jamie was married to the love of his life, Bobbie Lynn Park, who survives. The love, friendship, and unwavering affection they had for one another was a priceless treasure that will live on forever. Also surviving are sisters Heather Pittock of Chillicothe, Bronwen Lowe of East Liverpool, brother Derek (Claire) Wellington of Cincinnati, maternal grandmother, Anna Mae McPeak; grandparents, Robert and Margaret Wellington; Father and Mother-in-law Bob and Kitty Park, Brother-in-law Brandon Park, special friends Josh and Tiffani Strange & families, all of Chillicothe, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James M. McPeak. Jamie was a Department Manager at Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Chillicothe. He loved sales and he loved people. His engaging sense of humor and vibrant personality were evident to all who knew and loved him. He gave freely of his time, energy, resources, and most importantly, his love, to friends and strangers alike. In his newfound love for the Bible, Jamie discovered a great truth found in II Corinthians 4:18, which he is now experiencing to the fullest extent: "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Jamie Wellington Memorial Fund, which has been established at Oak Hill Banks.
