James A. "Jimmy" Turner, Jr., 50, of Chillicothe, died at 1:35pm Wednesday, February 26, 2013, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born May 23, 1962, in Chillicothe to James A., Sr. and Marian E. (Wingo) Turner. He is survived by his mother, Marian Turner, Chillicothe; 2 sisters: Tina (Bill) Thomas; and Angela (Myron) Miller, all of Chillicothe; 3 brothers: Rick (Virginia) Turner, Chillicothe; Shawn (Kyra) Turner, Naples, FL; Angelo Turner, Chillicothe; 2 children: J.T. Turner, Chillicothe; and Ashley Clemmons, Columbus; a special friend Chris Hosley and son Erique; several nieces, nephews, cousins, including a special cousin Brad Bunch and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his father, James A. Turner, Sr.; and a brother Byron Turner. Jimmy was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1981. He recently earned his Associates Degree from Ohio University-Chillicothe. He worked as a chef for Westmoreland Place. He attended the Glorious Church of God, enjoyed following Unioto School sports and loved hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, March 4 at the Haller Funeral Home with Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11am until 1pm at Haller Funeral Home.
