James Perkins

James B. Perkins, 91, of Chillicothe, Ohio died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Chillicothe. He was born in Newburyport, MA on March 23, 1921 to Frank and Mary (Murphy) Perkins. James graduated from Boston English High School in 1937 and was employed as a printer for Strathmore Paper Company for twenty-eight years retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Twenty-Five Year Club at Strathmore and the AFL-CIO. His wife Ruth (Osden) Perkins died in 2005. James leaves a son, James B. Perkins and his wife Linda of Chillicothe, Ohio a daughter, Patricia F. Sweeney and her husband Michael of Holyoke, two grandchildren, Sean and Michael Sweeney, a sister-in-law, Marion Rowe of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Georgina Byrum. The funeral will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at 9:30 AM from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church at 10:30 AM with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield.
