James Michael Novak, 67, of Chillicothe, passed away early Saturday morning, November 12, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was born July 4, 1955 in Chillicothe, son of the late Joseph and Ruby (Hill) Novak.
Surviving are his four children, Brandon Novak, Nate Novak, Jessica (John) Jensen, and Jason (Jaime) Novak; three grandchildren, Cadum, Stephen, and Caiden; two siblings, John Novak, and Beverly (Roger) Knapp; a sister-in-law, Patty Wells; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Novak, and Bob Novak; and a nephew, Andy Novak.
Jimmy worked for the United States Postal Service in Chillicothe for many years before retiring in 2009. He was an avid golfer, loved bowling, and enjoyed playing softball.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday.
