James Mowery

James F. Mowery, 60, of Chillicothe, died at 4:33pm Monday, October 14, 2013, at Ohio State University Hospital following a brief illness. He was born June 29, 1953, in Portsmouth, OH, to the late John and Minnie (Boggs) Mowery. On August 1, 1998, he married the former Julie A. Andrews, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Jamee Mowery, of Dayton; sons James Christopher (Shannon) Mowery, Wheelersburg; Ryan Mowery and Michael Mowery, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Kohra, Makenna, Kade and Ryot; a step-daughter Brandi (Tim) Shumway, of Massillon, OH; sisters Sue, Flora, Mary, Kay, Edie, Helen and Ruth; a brother Herb; a sister-in-law Penny Andrews; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Lorie; brothers Johnny and Hobe; a granddaughter Nevaeh Jade; and his in-laws Perry and Wanda Andrews. Jim was a truck driver for Clary Trucking, Inc. for over 15 years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and loved baseball. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 21, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Roop officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
