James Lewis

James Vernon Lewis was born on January 26, 1954 in Lexington, Kentucky to Vernon Marshall Lewis and Mary Bertha Lewis. He entered peacefully into res on Friday, February 2, 2024 in Santa Barbara, California.



James (Vern) received his formal education in Kingston, Ohio, graduating from Zane Trace High School. He relocated to California shortly after graduation, where he took courses in Computer and Information Science at Long Beach City College. Vern worked as a Personal care Aide until his retirement.



Vern leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Ann Marie Plant; mother, Mary Bertha Lewis; brothers and sisters, Karl Michael Lewis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Teresa Ann Lewis, David Wayne Lewis, Kathy Jane Bell, Joseph William Lewis, and Mark Allen Lewis; and brother-in-law, Darryl Flenour Bell; along with a host of other relatives and friends.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St.Mary Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Burial will follow in Saint Margaret Cemetery.
