James F. Kutschbach, 80, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born July 9, 1943, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Fritz and Virginia Kutschbach. He went on to marry his beloved wife, Nina L. (Kedash) Kutschbach, who survives.
Also surviving is his son, Jamie Kutschbach; step-children, Jeff Steinbrook, Alma (Gary) Howard, Paul Holdren, Donna Bobo, and Dawn Holdren; grandchildren, Noah Hollingshead, Meagon Jonas, Britany (Shane) Massie-Kuhn, Savannah Jonas, Shaun Steinbrook, Kayla Rawlins, and J.J. Kutschbach; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Kutschbach.
Jim worked for more than 40 years as beverage supplier to local establishments in the Chillicothe area. He later went on to work for the Department of Highway Safety before retiring. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1961-1965. He was a life member of the VFW 108, American Legion Post 62, the AMVETS Post 4, The Moose, and was a Golden Eagle. In his free time, he enjoyed going golfing, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the PGA Golf Tour.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside honors will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery at a future date.
