James Hansberry

James W. Hansberry, 79, of Chillicothe, passed away at 5:40pm Sunday October 7, 2007, in Heartland Nursing Home following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 11, in Twin Twp. Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home with Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Haller Funeral Home. James was born October 7, 1928, in Ross Co. to the late Andrew I. and Anna I. (Cousins) Hansberry. On July 19, 1952, he married the former Jeannine M. Bunch, who survives. Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Byron A. (Freda) Hansberry, Detroit, MI; grandson Antwjuan L. White; and great-grandsons Christopher Taylor and Jeremiah Monroe, all of Detroit. James retired from Wayne State University, Detroit in 1980.
