James Gordon Gillfillan, Jr., 51, of Chillicothe, passed from this life unexpectedly at his home on April 6, 2009. He was born June 7, 1957, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, to James Gordon Gillfillan, Sr. and Shirley Ann Dickson Gillfillan, who survive. Also surviving are his daughter Gina Renee Gillfillan; grandson Timothy James Gillfillan, both of whom were number one in his life; sisters and brothers-in-law Cheryl (Skip) Berry; Theresa (Jeff) Hall; Lisa (Brent) Bethel; Kimberly (Marc) Leeth; nieces Shannon (Cory) Foggin; Shelby (Nathan) Hamilton; Hannah, Cheyenne and Savannah Leeth; nephews Luke and Matthew Wagner; and Gabriel Hall; and a great-nephew Wesley Brent Hamilton, all of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Mark Gillfillan. Jim was a graduate from Bishop Flaget High School, Class of 1975. He had a passion for motorcycles and started riding at a very young age. He loved to be on his dirt bike in the woods or on his Harley. He was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan and loved to root for the Buckeyes. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends who loved him very much. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00pm Friday, April 10, at the Haller Funeral Home. Private graveside services held at the convenience of the family will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of his grandson, Timothy James Gillfillan, at the Homeland Credit Union.
