James Frost

James S. Frost, 74, of Chillicothe, died 5:30 pm, Monday, September 8, 2014, at Ohio State University Hospital-East, following an extended illness. He was born July 30, 1940 in Hillsboro, OH to the late Wilbur and Betty Kelley Frost. On January 26, 1963 he married Sue Karnes Frost, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Angela (Brian) Vaughan, Canal Winchester, Greg (Roxanne) Frost, Cincinnati, and Aaron (Melissa) Frost, Cypress, TX; seven grandchildren, Gabriel and Abigail Vaughan, Kasandralee (Jason) Byrd, and Jenna, Haven, Aidan and Leah Frost; a great-grandson, Magnus Byrd; and two sisters, Jeannie Frost and Janet (Gary) Hammond, Hillsboro. Mr. Frost retired in 1996 from the Western Southern Life Insurance Company as a district manager, with 32 years of service, including 20 in Chillicothe. In 1978 the Chillicothe office won The President's Trophy. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Kurt King officiating. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Thursday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State University Hospitals, Interstitial Lung Disease Research Program; Trinity United Methodist Church, 24 S. Mulberry St., Chillicothe, OH 45601; or the donor's favorite charity.
