James Dykes

April 11, 1973 — October 29, 2017

James Martin Samuel Dykes, 44, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Delaware, Ohio. He was born on April 11, 1973, in Lima, Ohio to James Delano and Martha Sue (Miller) Dykes. In addition to his father, James is survived by his children, Jameson and Annebelle Dykes; his sisters, Iris (Dave) Canterbury, Ronda (Bill) Riddle, Dina (Mike) Clark, and Debbie Kringle; his brother, Tim (Wendy) Dykes; two nieces, Sierra and Stormi; four nephews, Aaron, Campbell, Tim and Tj; as well as his special friends and family, PJ, Money, Dan, and April; and his dog Bella. James was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Dykes, and his aunt, Opal Graham. Sam was a truck driver, an avid concert attendee, music lover, and animal lover. He was also a self proclaimed video game expert and the best fisherman he knew. He loved tattoos, and had a wonderfully warped sense of humor. He loved skateboarding, snowboarding, riding bikes and cartoons. But most of all, he was a very loved son, brother, uncle, father, friend, and Juggalo. His favorite saying was "Why you so salty, brah?" A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial box will be present at the visitation and it has been requested that each person attending write down your best and funniest memories of Sam for his children to read during difficult times.
