James Corbett

James F. Corbett, 40, of Chillicothe, formerly of Columbus, died at 7:24pm April 27, 2022, at his home, following a short battle with colon cancer.   He was born July 8, 1981, in Chillicothe, to Norman F. and Beverly A. (Bair) Corbett, who survive.   Also surviving are his loving sister and brother-in-law Sarah A. (Aaron) Shoemaker, of Chillicothe; two nephews and a niece; his Uncle Jack and Aunt Sandy Krieg, of Chillicothe; Uncle Don and Aunt Ginny Girard and Uncle Ron and Aunt Donna Corbett, all of Massachusetts, Uncle Ray and Aunt Lin Ferraro, of Maine; along with many cousins.    Jim was a 1999 graduate of Unioto High School then earned his Bachelors Degree from Wright State University in 2004.  He worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus prior to his illness.  Jim had a very kind and caring soul.  He had many varied interests, including music, especially piano and guitar, sports, movies and medical science.   The family would like to acknowledge ProMedica Hospice, especially Jim's nurse Jennifer McMannus, for her exceptional loving care and understanding.   A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at the Haller Funeral Home with Fr. David Getreu officiating.  Private inurnment will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to either: Colorectal Cancer Alliance at www.ccalliance.org   ; or to ProMedica Hospice, 205 North St., Lucasville, OH 45648.
