James Case

James Jay Case, 62, of Chillicothe, died 7:00 am, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a year long illness. He was born February 4, 1951 in Dennison, OH to the late Harry and Harriett Schaffer Case. On September 20, 1998 he married Linda Sue Graves, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Nicki Fisher and Vince Case, of Jackson, Michael Rister, of Chillicothe and Joshua (Sheree) McFadden, of Richmond Dale; eight grandchildren, Andrea and AJ Fisher, Dusty and Cody Case, Ashton Rister, Linda Rinehart, Skylar Sowards, and Danielle McFadden; a brother, Donald (Grace) Case, of California; and his mother and father-in-law; Marvin and Wilma Graves, of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shiloh McFadden; brothers, Paul, Robert, George and John Case; sisters, Anna Mae Schupp, Mary Myers, Jane Maxwell and Alice Mathias; and a great-grandson, Landyn Sowers. Mr. Case was a US Marine Vietnam War veteran, and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of Waverly Turn Point Ministries and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was employed by the Meridian Company in Jackson, OH. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Steve Nibert officiating. Military graveside services will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home.
