James Ruel Baker, Jr., 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2020, in Chillicothe, Ohio, following a brief illness.
He was born August 26, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late James Ruel and Jacqueline Baker, Sr.
Surviving are his four children, Jimmy (Ursula) Baker, Heather (Javi) Vina, Ashley Baker, and Brandi (Tyler) Boone; his grandchildren, Cody Vina, Shawnee Vina, Hunter Baker, Taylor Baker, Camryn Nummeroor, Addison Baker, and Ty Baker; as well as his sister, Donna (Richard) Hagan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jackson Baker.
James was a graduate of Charlotte High School, class of 1973. He went on to become the owner and operator of Baker Transportation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
