James Andrew Agler, 73, of Waverly, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, May 23, 2025 at his home.
He was born January 29, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, son of the late Donald and Berta (Dotson) Agler. He married his beloved wife, Jean (Haggard) Agler, and together they've shared more than 51 years of marriage.
Also surviving in addition to his wife Jean, is their son, Shawn Agler; his two brothers, Larry (Cathy) Agler, and Dale (Charlene) Agler; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and his close friend, Tom Mangan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patty White.
Jim worked in the Lumber Industry for over 50 years, with 23 of them being at Carter Lumber in Chillicothe. During his career he served as both store manager and outside sales, making numerous friends along the way before retirement in December 2024. In his free time, he could frequently be found outside. He loved going deer hunting, and more recently, turkey hunting.
