James Adams

James G. Adams, 67, of Chillicothe, died 6:36 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Traditions of Bristol Village, following an extended illness. He was born June 6, 1945 in Chillicothe to the late Guthrie and Betty Conley Adams. Survivors include his step-father, Chester Baer, of Chillicothe; three sisters, Jenny (James) Davis, of Columbus, Becky (Bruce) O'Neal, of Indianapolis, and Grace "Betsy" Baer, of Chillicothe; three brothers, Chester "Chip" Baer and Doug Baer, both of Boca Raton, FL, and John (Joyce) Baer, of Chillicothe; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially Patty (Bob) Burger and Sue (Tim) Seymour; and a lifelong friend with whom he grew up and went to Viet Nam with, Tom Breeden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Claude. Jim was a US Army Vietnam War veteran and retired from Chilpaco. He enjoyed basketball, water skiing, motorcycles, and fast cars. The family would like to thank Traditions of Bristol Village for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Phillip Rutherford officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at Haller's.
