Jack A. Martin, of Frankfort, passed away on May 3, 2014, at his residence. He was 67 years old. He was predeceased by his father and mother Fred W. and Betty R. (Birkhimer) Martin, of Hebron, OH. He was united in marriage on February 18, 1977, to Mary Ellen Streitenberger at Walnut St. Methodist Church by Rev. George W. "Bill" Wilcher. In addition to his wife, Mary Ellen, Jack is survived by two daughters Janelle (Lemuel) Carroll and Lindsey L. Martin, all of Chillicothe. Jack was a Vietnam Army Veteran serving with the 5 th Special Forces Group, Project Sigma, Det. B-56 receiving a Purple Heart as well as other medals. He earned his BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newport University. He retired as Chief Engineer, Power Services Division, E.I. DuPont Co. following 28 years of service. He was a member Frankfort Lodge #309 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, all Chillicothe York Rite Bodies, #8 Knights Templar and the Aladdin Shrine. Jack liked to go hunting with his faithful dog Deek. At his request, there will be no services or calling hours observed. Cremation services are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
