Jack Davis passed away on June 9, 2024. Jack was born to Lloyd and Marguerite (Miller) Davis on August 17, 1932 and married Dorothy Lucille "Lucy" Whiting on January 27, 1956.
He is survived by his children, Jackie (Dale) Bruce, Don (Judy) Davis, Jim (Cheri) Davis, Carol Davis (Scott Claytor), and Ginger (Richard) Harper, his grandchildren, Chris (Kit) Bruce, Heather (Shawn) Hempstead, Alison Davis, Erin (Matt) Collins, James (Jacqui) Davis, Leigha Hunley, Alandra (Chris) Howard, and Ben Harper, his great-grandchildren, Hunter, Blake, Olivia, Shelby, Bri, Landon, Logan, Evangeline, Andrew, Maddie, Morgan, and Marlee, and siblings, Margi (Glen), Larry Davis, Bob (Molly) Davis, and Mike Davis, and many other family and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Marguerite Davis, his wife, Dorothy "Lucy" Davis, siblings, Betty Dean, Phyllis Garrison, Kenny Davis, Lloyd Davis, and infant brother Richard.
Jack was a giving man who loved God and served his church at Adena Road. He worked at the railroads before being drafted into the US Army, where he served in the Korean War. Once his service was up, Jack went to work at Mead until he retired after 42 years.
In addition to being a proud father of 5 children he was dedicated to God. He was a hard worker who liked to create things to share with others. Jack joins his wife Lucy in God's loving hands.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 19 th , 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Haller Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 20 th , 2024 at 11:00 am at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
