Jack L. Anthony, 84, of Chillicothe, died peacefully, surrounded by family on January 28, 2014, following an extended illness. He was born August 16, 1929 in Union Furnace, OH to the late Karl and Jewel Loomis Anthony. On July 28th, 1951 he married the former Roselyn Harris who survives. Also surviving are his children Steve (Vicki), Jeff (Vicki), and Staci (Steve Siddall) Brighton, Michigan; grandchildren;, Katie (Eddie Brown), Wes, (Nikki Beaver), Rebecca, Hannah, and Jack Anthony, Jake, Nik , and Samantha Siddall; and 6 great grandchildren; a brother in-law Mike (Wanda Harris); and special relatives Bob and Beverly Riggs, and Mid Loomis. Jack served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After the war, he was employed by WLW in Columbus, Ohio. He and Rose moved to Chillicothe in 1963 and Jack played an important role in the development of The Chillicothe Telecom television station. He later transferred to the Chillicothe Telephone Company where he was a business manager. He was a member of the Chillicothe Presbyterian Church and was involved in many civic organizations including The Rotary Club, The Sunset Club, The Civil Air Patrol, and The PUCO of Ohio. Jack's passions in life included spending time with his family and friends, flying, golf, trips to the beach, his dogs, and spending special afternoons at the Kellenberger farm solving the problems of the world. Thanks to time spent during his youth with his uncles Nub and Pete in Union Furnace, he was truly a jack of all trades. Jack was the first person his family and friends sought out to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Jack will be missed by all who loved him! Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Saturday at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME, Rev. James Grove officiating. Friends may call 12:00-1:30 pm Saturday at Haller's.
