J. Sansone

John Joseph "Joe" Sansone, 93, died at 11:30pm October 26, 2017 at Heartland of Jackson.   He was born November 14, 1923, in Uniontown, PA, to the late John J. and Ruth (Rutter) Sansone. On May 27, 1949, he married the former H. Virginia "Ginny" Humphrey, who preceded him in death on January 28, 2003.   Surviving is his daughter, Susan Sansone, of Chillicothe; and 8 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Marie Robinson.   Joe earned his bachelor's degree from Penn St. University in 1947. He retired from Wear-Ever and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during WWII. He enjoyed painting, watching Penn St. football and was an avid golfer.   Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Dr. Jason Link officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11am Wednesday at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Organ Fund, 13 Mead Dr., Chillicothe, OH, 45601.
