J. Kaltenbach

Michael Kaltenbach, 70, died at 12:52pm August 18, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born August 20, 1945, in Chillicothe to the late James and Evelyn (Carnes) Kaltenbach. Mike is survived by his long-time companion, Rose Trainer, Chillicothe; his children: Michael and Brian Kaltenbach; and Penny (Jason) Sanders, all of Chillicothe; Rosie's children, who he loved like his own, Michael Trainer, Cincinnati, Mark (Tracy) Trainer, West Chester, OH, Toni (Joe) Bonner, Ashland, KY, Angela (Tracy) Murray, Chillicothe, Matt (Jen) Trainer, Athens, OH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Dexter "Bunk" (Margie) Kaltenbach, Delroy, OH; a sister-in-law Janet Kaltenbach, Chillicothe; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Tom Kaltenbach; his sister Patricia Upton; and son Steve Trainer. Mike was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1963. He worked at the former RCA Plant from 1971- 2006 and then obtained his associate degree from OU-C. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was an avid bowler, played RCA Softball and loved life. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday at St. Mary Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Burial will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7pm at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Restoration Project, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
