Iris Fraser Iris Fraser, 85, of Kingston, died 4:15 am, Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Dr. Frank Steyn officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Haller's. She was born February 15, 1923 in Lahore, British India, (modern day Pakistan), to Albert and Minnie Jacob Fraser. Survivors include five brothers and sisters, Enid J. Sherwood, Odessa, TX, Frederick A. Fraser, of Birkenheide, Germany, Donald Fraser, of Phoenix, AZ, Darlene Quarishi, of Lahore, Pakistan, and Jennifer Kirkbride, of New Castle, England; several nieces and nephews including, Janice A. Kirkbride, John E. and Caroline A. Sherwood, and Ron and Sharon Combs. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Morris, Edgar and Mavis. Iris was known as the "Flower of Lahore." She was extremely beautiful, charming, full of life, active, and well read. She was a retired teacher and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
