Imogene Smith, 86, of Chillicothe, formerly of Dublin, Ohio died March 28, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born October 20, 1927 to the late Charles and Hazel Burlile. She is survived by her niece Sharon (Gale) Rickey; nephews Bill (Sandy) Wood, Don (Nancy) Burlile, William Burlile, David Sensenbrenner, sister-in-laws Marjorie Burlile, Marylyn (Bill) Dudrow,; several great nieces and nephews especially Beth Everhart, Michele (Chad) McKee, Taylor Rickey and also great-great nieces Kiersten McKee and Rylie McKee; many special friends including Steve and Suzann Nagle of DubIn, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Smith of 62 years, sisters Martha Penn, Mary Wood, Sara Rawlins, Sue Sensenbrenner and brother William "Bud" Burlile. Imogene graduated from Chillicothe High School. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her loving husband. She loved to sew and make crafts of all types. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. She was an avid sports fan especially of the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State. She attended services at Traditions provided by Trinity Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Traditions, Home Helpers and InCare Hospice for all of their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of their preference. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Bishop Steve A. Nagle of Dublin, Ohio officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at Haller's Tuesday.
